Porcelain Crowns
Also referred to as “caps,” crowns are commonly used to repair and protect broken, decayed, or worn teeth. If Dr. Rose finds that a crown is appropriate in your situation, she will prepare the damaged tooth by removing the affected tooth structure, and then fit a crown snugly over the remaining portion.
The appearance of a crown can vary significantly depending on the dentist, laboratory, and materials used. We realize that beautiful restorations are an art and a science, and we are committed to employing only the finest materials and using trusted dental laboratories when creating your beautiful custom restorations. In fact, many of our crowns can be conveniently fabricated in-house in only one visit using the advanced technology of the CEREC machine. Dr. Rose can personalize the size, shape, color and translucency of your porcelain crown to preserve your natural-looking smile right here in our Melbourne office.
