Children's Dentistry

Young girl smiling happily in dental chairExceptional Dentistry welcomes patients as young as three years old -- but occasionally, dental care is needed even earlier. If you notice a problem with your little one’s teeth or gums, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our office for fast attention.

Your child’s first visit is about introducing her to the world of dental care, and showing her there’s absolutely nothing to fear at the dentist’s office. That’s why we call this their Happy Visit! Our caring staff will get to know your little one and introduce her to the dental office. It’s a small step that we believe has a big impact in how children perceive the dentist.

By the time she turns three, it’s time for your child’s first checkup. Dr. Rose will perform an inspection of each tooth and the gums, and also make sure the mouth and teeth are developing properly, with no tooth decay or future orthodontic issues in sight.

Patients of all ages benefit from twice-annual checkups and cleanings for continued oral health. By the time your child reaches age six, she’ll be able to brush her teeth on her own -- and she’s also entering into some of the most cavity-prone years of her life. Regular visits to the dentist are especially crucial for children ages six to 14. We can check in on their dental hygiene habits and provide tips as needed, and also apply dental sealants and fluoride treatments for an extra defense against cavities.

Let us help your child learn the importance of optimal oral health from a young age. In some cases, we refer children to pedodontists, who are specialists in children's dentistry. We will help you make the best choices for your child's unique and precious personality.
